Thanks :-)
Unfortunately, I was also able to reproduce your issue with that "free" link :X...
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32bit

SlimerJS 0.10.3 (latest stable release, "lightweight")

The SlimerJS devs have ceased releasing "standalone" versions of their application; newer versions come only as the "lightweight" edition; this in turn requires an installed version of Mozilla Firefox web browser systemwide; additionally, you may have to manually edit file "application.ini" inside the "slimerjs" directory so that "MaxVersion" equals or is higher than installed Firefox version (latest release is 56.0.1).
Since I'm on Vista, highest Firefox version that can be installed here is 52.4.1 (ESR channel); with recent changes to Firefox and imminent release of Quantum (Firefox >= 57.0), "lightweight" SlimerJS may have already become incompatible, but only an FRD dev could give you definitive answers.
What is more ominous still is that I tried some of the nightly versions of SlimerJS that were uploaded after 0.10.3 stable (that still works for me) and discovered that 0.10.4pre and later are no longer compatible with the recaptcha plugin (the small slimerjs window does open, but not the recaptcha one)...
SlimerJS integration into FRD along with maintenance of the recaptcha plugin (as well as the majority of media plugins) was tong2shot's splendid work; now that this developer is apparently lost from the face of the internet, things look quite grim, TBH :S:-(
